Fig Nectar Preserve by Officine Cedri, Calabria, 8.8 oz, 12/CS

The intense fig flavor in this fig preserve, or "Nettarina di Fichi" as it is called in Italian, comes from figs grown in the water-starved lands of Calabria. Use with sheep and goat cheeses, or with parmigiano. Great with panna cotta (cooked cream), mascarpone, gorgonzola, and roasted meats.
